The world is hugged by the faithful arms of volunteers. – Terri Guillemets
Looking for a way to…
- get involved in the community
- make new friends
- put your talents to use
- give back some of what you’ve been given
- help spread some love and care to hurting people?
If so, volunteering at Valley Rescue Mission might be just what you’re looking for!
We have volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups, with a wide range of activities. You can help prepare & serve meals to hungry Chattahoochee Valley neighbors…or sort through donated items…or sign families in need up for holiday food and toys…or paint a room to welcome a person in dire need of some beauty…or play with some kids starved for love and attention.
Each year, we work closely with several schools and colleges to assist students in need of community service hours. We will be glad to work with your schedule and help you find an interesting, fulfilling place to give back to the community.
Our experience has been that adult females work best with other females and children. If you are a single female, over the age of 18, not interested in volunteering as part of a group experience, and specifically interested in working with women and their children, please contact Damascus Way Home for Women and Children directly at 706-653-2061.
So get started! Complete the Volunteer Interest Form as the first step in an exciting new chapter of your life. Contact 706-322-8267, ext. 207, for more details.
We do welcome volunteers under the age of 18, but they must be accompanied by a parent or adult while volunteering.
All volunteers must be on the schedule to volunteer.
