Mystina's Testimony

My name is Mystina. I’m 40 years old, and my life started in chaos—addiction, abuse, and trauma surrounded me from a young age. I spent years trying to fix others while losing myself. I searched for love in all the wrong places, walking through broken relationships, addiction, and deep pain.

I’m a mother of four, and I’ve faced unimaginable loss—including the death of my son in 2024. That moment shattered me, and I fell deeper into darkness, using drugs and alcohol to numb the pain.

But God…

Through Valley Rescue Mission, I found something I had been missing my entire life—true peace. It wasn’t easy. Healing hurt. Facing my pain sober was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But God met me there.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” – Psalm 34:18

I’ve learned that surrender is daily. That I don’t have to carry everything—I just have to give it to Him and leave it there. Today, I have a restored relationship with my family, a renewed purpose, and a peace I’ve never known before.

I once gave up on life… but now I have hope, faith, and a future.

God saved me.
